Detailed Product Description
Available in multiple sizes to suit any environment, this piece of artwork provides a visual illustration of the top three finishers of the 2010 Formula 1 World Drivers’ Championship.
- Sebastian Vettel
- Fernando Alonso
- Mark Webber
We do our best to tell a great story in all of our artwork, but our podium pieces require a little more explanation that other artworks we do. The story of the 2010 Formula 1 season is a fascinating one, and we have tried to capture the essence of it in the text on this poster:
“The 2010 Formula 1 season was incredibly close all the way up to the final race in Abu Dhabi. In fact, the championship lead changed ten times throughout the season.
Before the season finale, four drivers were in a position to win the World Drivers' Championship: Vettel, Webber, Alonso and Hamilton. Alonso needed to finish 4th to win the title, but it was not to be; he found himself stuck behind Vitaly Petrov for too long, which affected his strategy to such an extent that he finished 7th. It was the closest Alonso had been to winning the Drivers' Championship since his win in 2005.
Vettel went on to win the race, and thus the World Drivers' Championship, it was the first time he led the championship that year.”
Each helmet has been drawn by hand. We do our best to replicate the helmet designs of all three drivers for that season. However, we draw these helmets from scratch with nothing more than a few photographs in our archives as a reference.
With that in mind, we humbly ask for your understanding should you notice any imperfections.
