Detailed Product Description
Available in multiple sizes to suit any environment, this piece of artwork displays an interpretation of Fernando Alonso’s late Formula 1 helmet design. A combination of bold, beautiful colours representative of his home-region of Asturias (Spain), this helmet design has a retro look paying homage to the heroics of the past and is representative of Alonso’s simplicity of vision and desire: To win.
Fernando Alonso is another member of “The Greats” club in Formula 1 and motorsport. Born from humble beginnings in Asturias, Spain, Fernando Alonso was the man who brought Michael Schumacher’s and Ferrari’s total five-year dominance to a halt by winning the championship in 2005, and again in 2006.
Since then, Alonso has come very close to the World Driver’s championship on multiple occasions, notably in 2007, where he finished 3rd, but just 1 point behind the championship winner. In 2010, where he finished 2nd by just four points after going into the final race as championship leader. And in 2012, where he finished 2nd once more, by a miniscule three points, after Vettel was let through by compatriot Michael Schumacher, securing him 6th place in the race, giving him just enough points to win the title.
Fernando Alonso retired from Formula 1 after the 2018 season, and since has gone on to win the 24 Hours of Le Mans, twice, and now has his eyes on the Indy 500.
