Detailed Product Description

Available in multiple sizes to suit any environment, this piece of artwork displays Lewis Hamilton's (second) 2020 helmet, on a purple background, with the Cristo Redentor from Corcovado mountain in Rio de Janeiro as the main background element, along with references to the Mercedes 2020 livery and Niki Lauda.

Lewis Hamilton has had the famous statue of Jesus on the back of his helmet designs for many years, along with the quote "Still I Rise", which is known to be a reference to the poem written by Maya Angelou. The quote is also tattooed onto Hamilton's back.

However, for the 2020 season, Lewis Hamilton decided to change "Still I Rise" to "Still We Rise" as one of many gestures of support towards the Black Lives Matter movement, which has been in the spotlight since May 2020.

The background of the poster shows the pattern of "Mercedes stars" that feature on the engine-covers of the current car livery. The red star in the bottom right hand corner of the poster is a tribute to Niki Lauda. The red star also features on the car itself as a permanent tribute to the Austrian Legend. Lauda played a key role in convincing Lewis Hamilton to join Mercedes back in 2013, and was a mentor to the Briton throughout his recent championship-winning years.
